Dark Crystal FCBD: German review
I got this cool link from Kevin (thank you!). I can't read German, but I trust it says some nice things about my short story for the FCBD give-away: Dark Crystal in German
Hey Alex, I picked up a copy of the comic on Free Comic Book Day. Great stuff! I'm really looking forward to seeing the final book. Keep up the excellent work!
My German isn't so good any more but with the help of the internet I was able to get the details. It gives some gist of the story and encourages readers to look for the upcoming graphic novels but the best part is the sentence about the art. Loosely translated it says, "The whole [artistic style] is wonderfully translated by Alex Sheikman and Lizzy John, whose illustrations breathe the spirit of the film."
John, Thank you for the kind words about Dark Crystal FCBD story. I am working on the graphic novel and having fun with it. I am trying some new things with panel lay-outs as well as trying to use the pencil somewhat differently...so far I have been able to get the pages approved by Archaia and Hanson production. I hope it keeps going that way.
Nili, Thank you for the translation! That is very cool:) Also thank you for stopping by Hijinx and supporting FCBD. I hope you like Robotika...if it turns out way too weird for your tastes, let me know (you know where to find me), and I'll refund you the money.
I hoofed it to an LCS on FCBD just for this book - nice job!
Also, I like google's translation:
Wonderful is implemented breathe the whole of Sheikman Alex and Lizzy John, whose illustrations of the spirit of the film. The colorful and beautifully worn words wrote Brian Holguin. Look at times comic dealer you trust around for this really great comic. Anyone who loves the film, which is quite wonderful here back in the world of Thrace.
I am the writer and artist of "Robotika", and an illustrator of "Dark Crystal" comic books, both being published by Archaia Studios Press. This blog, "Moonstruck", is a record of my journey as I work on comics and learn, learn, learn...and learn. Hope you enjoy the pictures :)
