Don Lawrence and the Trigan Empire
Along with Frank Bellamy I have been "discovering" the work of Don Lawrence who drew Trigan Empire for British publication. I was so impressed by his use of light and shadow, as well as his rendering of folds that I did some studies of the figures from the comic book that I got. It was fun and educational for me :)

When I was a teen, my father found a hard cover collection of the Trigan Empire....and since it was some British guy I'd never heard of, found left behind in an apartment by my father...I didn't apreciate it and sold it at a used book store.
...for the life of me, I don't know what I was thinking...
