One-a-Day #7
I was tired and only had 20 minutes before "bed time", but I felt that it was important to me to try to get a sketch in. It's simple and has problems, but I kind of like it...probably because it is simple and has problems :)
After the last "experiment" I wanted to try doing outlines better. This was way simpler and much more effective. I think this is what guys like Toth must have done: before actually starting to draw, they sat down and thought about what they were doing and what it was going to look like. Then they actually drew it, and it looked simple...but it really was not, because there was all this mental prep work involved.
I am the writer and artist of "Robotika", and an illustrator of "Dark Crystal" comic books, both being published by Archaia Studios Press. This blog, "Moonstruck", is a record of my journey as I work on comics and learn, learn, learn...and learn. Hope you enjoy the pictures :)

I love silhouettes. They are highly underrated.
